I have an Extra-Extra-Large Turkish bath robe, which is heavier than most, and it almost tips over this hall tree on its own - but it might be the same with any hall tree. The base feet are very strong, but having two more of them (5 versus 3) would help, because the tree doesn't tip in the direction of the existing feet.

Item didn't ship until well after it was supposed to, per the website, but despite the unusual delay the product eventually arrived in very good condition.
