Ok, I read these comments before hand and like an idiot bought the Hall Tree anyway. BELIEVE me when I say, "Do not buy this Hall Tree!" It is impossible to put together using the materials given! I had to re-drill holes, use wood glue and my own wood screws. The Hall Tree was press board and terribly painted mess! DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED $$$ Oh, and it came damaged (scrapes) in the box..

It was difficult to assemble, one piece was cracked, the screws for the hooks were too large and I had to purchase others and spray paint them black. Also, it could be taller to have better proportions

This is a great hall tree. It's small so could use in apartment as well as house. My husband put it together and said it is very well built. It is a little shorter than I expected so look at the measurements if you are wanting something tall. It's just right for our sunroom/mudroom, great for hanging jackets and storing shoes, and keeping the dog leash handy.
